We have been running Fairs for 8 years. Venues have included Greenwoods Hotel & Spa,Old Spitalfields Market,The Warren Golf & Country Club, plus a variety of Essex and Suffolk Halls. Some of our fairs have been running in the same venues for 8 years, such as Foakes Hall, Great Dunmow and The Old School, Long Melford. Due to new GDPR legislation we have removed details of all our past fairs as they include makers' details, some of which will now be out of date.

Directions & Parking:

Long Melford is a beautiful village which attracts many visitors from the UK, and further afield, who come to look round it's great shops, lovely surrounding countryside and historic attractions such as Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall.

The High Street (Hall Street) is full of old, historic buildings which house restaurants and pubs and a range of shops selling antiques, clothes, homewares and more.

The Old School is a lovely old building just at the end of Long Melford's High Street (Hall Street), opposite Melfordc.

It has 4 rooms, which include a cafe area, and there is a free car park for the village literally a minutes walk away plus ample parking on the High Street as well. There is also sufficient parking at the Old School itself to accomodate all stallholders.


General Information:

With over 40 stalls, this event will offer shoppers a wonderful choice of beautifully designed and handcrafted items. Whether you're looking for a wedding gift; a new ornament or well-designed practical item for the home and garden or a piece of quaility handmade jewellery.

Makers will be showcasing the latest in contemporary and vintage inspired handmade items including jewellery, clothes, bags, prints, soaps, cards, soft furnishings and home wares, pottery, planters and much more.

You can also enjoy tea and cakes, served in vintage style crockery, at Plum Fairy's Vintage Tearoom.

Norah Socker from Fantasia Textiles (www.fantasiatextiles.co.uk) will be demonstrating various technqiue using textiles and Toni Peers of Curly-Girly Crafts (www.curly-girly.co.uk) will be demonstrating the art of painting with molten wax (encaustic art) throughout the day.

My name is Carol Mitchell and I have been crafting for over 30 years. I started with cross stitch and knitting and moved on to card making about 10 years ago. I have been doing craft fairs, garden shows and dog shows with my cards all over Essex and just over the border into Suffolk for many years.

I enjoy making cards, and each one is different as I do not do two exactly the same. I enjoy the feedback from customers who contact me afterwards for bespoke order
