The ethos of these events is to provide an opportunity for skilled makers to sell directly to the public, and to offer shoppers the opportunity to buy affordable and individual handmade products. All our events are free entry to the public.

Directions & Parking:

Long Melford is a beautiful village which attracts many visitors from the UK, and further afield, who come to look round it's great shops, lovely surrounding countryside and historic attractions such as Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall.

The High Street (Hall Street) is full of old, historic buildings which house restaurants and pubs and a range of shops selling antiques, clothes, homewares and more.

The Old School is a lovely old building just at the end of Long Melford's High Street (Hall Street), opposite Melford Hall.

It has 5 rooms, which include a cafe area, and there is a free car park for the village literally a minutes walk away plus ample parking on the High Street as well. There is also sufficient parking at the Old School itself to accomodate all stallholders.

General Information:

This Fair will offer shoppers a wealth of fantastic handmade items, with over 45 stalls showcasing the latest contemporary and vintage inspired products.

Whether you're looking for a wedding gift; new accessories for the summer holidays or would like to buy some new, fresh and original items for the home, this Fair will be the perfect place to find something inspiring.

Plum Fairy will be running the vintage style Tearoom throughout the day, serving sumptious cakes and refreshing cups of tea in beautiful vintage crockery.

Fantasia Textiles will be running demonstrations on the day.

Toots Totes

A mother and daughter team: Ruth (Toots Totes) creates unusual and unique fabric bags and Willa (Willa's Silks) paints a rainbow of stunning silk scarves. Both are willing to take commissions: If you see a bag you like but are yearning for a different fabric, trimmings or hardware to suit your own style, please ask. Likewise, if you need a scarf to complete an outfit we will be more than happy to produce your own unique blend of colour.

The Mad Owl Company

I love designing and making original gifts in fabric. I specialise in all things owl related, from door hangers to door stops, but also make notebook covers, lavender sachets and seasonal gifts. I use high quality 100% cotton fabrics and wool blend felt, and a mixture of hand embroidery and machine stitching.

Barbara Chaplin Mosaics

Barbara has been a self-taught mosaic artist for 5 years, and has undertaken mosaic courses in Italy, both in Venice and Ravenna.

My objective is to create Fine Art Landscape Photographs using the subtleties of natural light. Each image must be artistically and technically excellent.

I hope to draw the viewer into an image and make them feel as if they were there at the time of capture.
